Review: A Thousand Nights

Review:

A Thousand Nights - E. Russell Johnston Jr.

I received a copy from Netgalley.

Sadly, this is a DNF for me. I was really looking forward to it, and really really excited when  Pan Macmillan approved my Netgalley request, but I barely made it to 18% and that was a struggle.

It's flat and its boring. The writing is beautiful, very descriptive and the scenery is easy to picture. The characters are just dull and have failed to capture my attention. I don't like the fact that there is no name references either. The only one who has a name is Lo-Melkhiin who shows some promise of a deeper personality, but I'm just not wowed at all by the whole thing.

I struggled to make it to the first 18% and to be honest, I'm really just not interested in any more. So unfortunately, not for me.

Thank you to Netgalley and Pan Macmillan for giving me a chance to view the title.
